Sisters

Hello Friends,
Blog before last we told you about the mad dash to the airport to pick up the family. Next blog we told you about the chickens and the pigs but no mention of the family. Well, they arrived, looking ready to attack the heat after the cold of England and were whisked off home with our truck as baggage-carrier. Evening came and we chatted and caught up with the main news of Christmas both sides of the Atlantic.
Party Time
The next day we held a party for people Mum knew to come and see her progression since she was last here. It was a busy day! We were totally blessed because one of Mum's friends did all the cooking for the party and all we had to do was pick it up, bring it home and serve it. My idea of a brilliant party aided by brilliant friends and loved ones.
The mandatory dominoes were spilled out; partnerships made; games won and lost; drinks drunk; conversations held and pictures aplenty snapped! The party, of course, went on into the night and all reported back how well Mum seemed and how great the get-together was!
Beach, Shopping, Guinness
The rest of the two weeks they were here were spent at the beach, shopping (mandatory also), visiting, receiving visitors and phone calls and talking, with the oh-so-welcome chilled Banks beer and Guinness to keep our tongues loose and our throats whet!
Rum Shop Fun
The night before they left, we took our sisters up to our local Rum Shop (owned by a cousin) and met some more of the folk who had been on the Family Reunion week. We again drank the evening away and had great conversations and crawled into bed about 2 in the morning!
The following day was spent packing suitcases and saying goodbyes.
They'll Be Back!
Back to the airport for the off. Tony and Michele back to the Rum Shop to wave the plane goodbye and three months of careful planning and arranging over in thirteen days!
It's quiet around here now!
